Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and reliable Warehouse Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations in our animal feed mill warehouse. The role involves supervising packing, ensuring efficient stock control, and managing loading/unloading activities using a forklift truck (FLT). The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining safe, organized, and efficient warehouse operations while supporting production needs.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily warehouse operations, ensuring tasks are completed safely, accurately, and on time.
Oversee the packing of finished feed products to meet quality and customer requirements.
Carry out daily warehouse checks, including cleanliness, equipment inspections, and safety compliance.
Maintain accurate stock records, including monitoring stock levels, conducting regular counts, and reporting discrepancies.
Manage loading and unloading of delivery wagons using a forklift truck (FLT).
Coordinate with production, raw material and logistics teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely dispatch.
Monitor and enforce compliance with company health, safety, and hygiene policies.
Support and train warehouse operatives, promoting teamwork and efficiency.
Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Requirements
Previous experience in warehouse or production supervision (experience in feed or food industry advantageous).
Valid FLT license with proven operating experience.
Strong organizational and stock control skills.
Good communication and leadership abilities.
Understanding of health & safety regulations and safe working practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical environment.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, daytime hours.
Some overtime may be required, with flexibility expected to meet business needs.
