To support the Warehouse Manager with the daily activities of the various Warehouse sites. The Warehouse Supervisor will ensure best practices are always adhered to, whilst maintaining excellent service levels.
The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for building strong relationships with all direct reports within the department and liaise with Uk Operations regarding trailer movements between sites. They will also be instrumental in improvement projects whilst driving changes within the department in a smooth and timely manner.
The Warehouse Supervisor will be the first point of contact for any issues arising in the following areas - Warehouse, Staff, H&S and Stock Control
Responsibilities:
Warehouse
Ensure that all customers stock is stored correctly and that all warehouse operations are compliant in line with the Company quality documentation, ISO Legislation, and individual customer requirements
Assist the Warehouse Manager in developing a culture of continuous improvement within the Warehouse department and identify areas of improvement
Support the Warehouse Manager in maximizing operational efficiencies and identify areas of opportunity to improve
Work closely with the Warehouse Logistics Coordinator to review day to day goods in and out and plan order picking/loading ahead of schedule to ensure the timely and accurate delivery to customers
Ensure warehouses remain clean and organised in line with Warehouse CAYG policy
Staff
Work closely with the Warehouse Manager to ensure that required resources are maintained within budget. Plan in advance for staff shortages due to holidays/sickness/training, utilising agency as the last resort
Assist the Warehouse Manager with the completion of departmental appraisals of all staff to develop individuals and ensure that all members are working to a common set of objectives in line with the company objectives
Ensure staff are adequately trained in all compulsory safety, quality and general warehousing policies and work instructions
Assist the Warehouse Manager with any discipline/counselling of warehouse staff
Assist the Warehouse Manager with the introduction, development and maintenance of a Warehouse Training Matrix for all departmental staff and ensure that adequate training is provided in line with the requirements of the training matrix
H&S
Ensure that all departmental risk assessments and safe working practices are completed
Work with the Warehouse Manager to ensure all staff MHE licenses are up to date and all staff are adequately trained on all MHE
In the absence of the Warehouse Manager, represent the Warehouse in all H&S meetings, highlighting any departmental issues
Stock Control
Work closely with the Warehouse Manager to ensure all stock levels are correct in line with the company WMS
Ensure that the stock cycle count procedure is adhered to in line with customer requirements
Ensure that customer orders are picked according to correct batch codes
