:
The Heat Load Supervisor is a key member of our operations team responsible for managing small teams, liaising with clients in a professional manner, communicating clearly with upper management and ensuring that all works follow company processes and in line with quality expectations.
We are seeking a candidate with the potential to progress from a trainee to a supervisory role within 3 to 6 months. The ideal individual will demonstrate strong leadership qualities, managerial experience, keen attention to detail, a solid commitment to safety, a strong appreciation for quality control, and preferably some knowledge of electrical systems and/or data centres.
This is a hybrid role requiring regular site and warehouse based work. Must be willing to attend customer sites (across UK and Europe) to assist with installation or carry out onsite repairs (sometimes for several days at a time, including weekends and nights).
Company Background:
Mafi Mushkila (Trading as HeatLoad) provides heat load testing services to the Data Centre construction industry. Our services are primarily used for testing cooling and power systems in Data Centres, IT Equipment Rooms, communications rooms and other clean spaces.

Trainee Site & Warehouse Supervisor, within Operations Team
Location:
Bosham, West Sussex

Operations Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Relevant training will be provided. Once transitioned into a supervisory position, key responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Site Based Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for delivery of projects while on site.
Conduct pre-delivery site survey to:
Complete Health & Safety Inspection and complete report
Assess delivery access and route restrictions and requirements, reporting potential delays to upper management
Identify site contact(s) that will be available during delivery and installation, that are empowered to resolve issue as they arise
Assess induction requirements and arrange inductions for Technicians and agency staff
Discuss (and agree) delivery and installation approach with customer
During site based work:
Liaise with site contact
Arrange access (including permits, keys and security passes to be issued to team) and coordinate inductions
Brief agency staff with 'Site Etiquette' presentation, RAMS, working practices, goals to be achieved
Act as single point of contact between HeatLoad and the customer / site
Act as single point of contact between site team and upper management
Update Work Order with problems and delays encountered and operative site attendance times, obtain customer sign off
Update delivery note(s) with actual received quantities, obtain customer sign off
Arrange break times (and brief operatives) and/or purchase refreshments (all expenses covered by MML) in advance to minimize down time on-site
Warehouse Based Responsibilities:
Prior to team attending site:
Prepare delivery notes
Book freight with hauler (supply copies of delivery notes)
Add delivery notes to project folder
Email freight information to customer (type of vehicle, registration plate and driver)
Email list of site operatives to customer to arrange access and induction
Arrange operatives (and agency workers) to complete induction requirements
Update RAMS with site specific information
Brief the operatives as to the nature of the project, have them sign a copy of RAMS
Ensure team have correct PPE, training certificates and identification
Agree schedule and method of getting to site (i.e. meeting time at site or head office)
Completion of site based activities:
Scan delivery/collection notes and save in project folder
Update delivery/collection note summary spreadsheet
Scan signed RAMS and save to project folder
Secure the CMR and ATA Carnet, follow process to scan and save
In addition to the responsibilities include;
Supervising teams to deliver specific tasks
Prioritizing (under the direction of OM) delivery of specific tasks
Conducting PPE checks (to ensure all operatives have suitable PPE)
Carrying out (regular) toolbox talks and training sessions to improve knowledge of the wider team
Qualifications:
Previous experience in leadership/managerial role
Previous experience in a workshop or construction environment is preferred.
Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Commitment to safety and willingness to follow safety protocols.
Ability to work independently and take initiative when necessary.
UK Driving license (with own transport).
Basic IT skills (knowledge using Microsoft Outlook, Work, Excel and Web Browser).
Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to:
Lift and carry heavy equipment and materials (up to 25kg).
Stand, bend, stoop, and work in various positions for extended periods.
Work in a warehouse, workshop and construction site environment with exposure to various weather conditions.
Working Hours and Renumeration Package:
37.5 hours per week (with regular opportunities for overtime and weekend work)
Core Hours: Monday-Friday, 07:30 to 15:30 (with 2 x 15-minute tea breaks and 30-minute paid lunch break)
20-days holiday, plus public holidays paid
Annual Salary: 30,000-36,00 (depending on experience)
Monthly bonuses and working away allowance.
