About The Role
In this role as Warehouse Supervisor based at 26th Berth, you will effectively manage people, plant, automation, and other resources to achieve shift throughput targets while maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities:
Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching, and assuring quality of goods
Ensure compliance with maintenance standards, health and safety regulations, and company procedures
Demonstrate flexibility to meet operational requirements, including weekend working
Measure and report the effectiveness of warehouse activities, assets, and employee performance
Organise and maintain inventory, ensuring storage areas are accurate, efficient, and well maintained
Maintain accuracy of shipments and inventory transactions
Communicate job expectations, coach, and support employees to drive performance and productivity
Determine staffing levels, allocate workload, and oversee shift welfare
Interface with customers to answer queries and resolve operational issues
Maintain item records, documentation, and reporting to project warehouse status and peak requirements
Identify opportunities for improvement and implement innovative or revised work practices
Collaborate with other departments across the Port and Group to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective operations
Operate plant and equipment as required
Undertake other projects or duties as necessary for the Port and wider Group business
What are we looking for?
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor who can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will bring proven leadership experience, a proactive approach to problem solving, and the ability to drive performance through people and process management. Flexibility is essential, as the role may require working across different shifts and supporting overtime when operational needs demand. Skills & Qualifications:
Proven work experience as a Warehouse Supervisor within FMCG or 3PL
Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams
Knowledge of warehouse management systems and MS Office proficiency
Ability to input, retrieve, and analyse operational data
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to direct, coordinate, and optimise warehouse operations
Strong organisational and time management skills
Experience of working with collective agreements
Experience with SAP is preferred
Experience with Transporeon haulage management software would be advantageous
Full right to work in the UK
Full UK driving licence
