Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management systems, shipping and receiving processes, and materials handling. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse while maintaining high standards of safety and productivity.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily warehouse operations, ensuring all activities are carried out efficiently and safely. Manage a team of warehouse staff, providing training, guidance, and support to enhance performance. Oversee the implementation and use of the warehouse management system to optimise inventory control and order fulfilment. Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation and timely dispatch of goods. Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse to maintain cleanliness and organisation. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment. Handle heavy lifting tasks as required, demonstrating proper techniques to team members. Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to streamline operations and improve service delivery. Maintain accurate records in AS400 or similar systems for inventory management and reporting purposes.

Requirements

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse setting. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and materials handling procedures. Familiarity with forklift operation; certification is preferred but not essential. Mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Experience with shipping and receiving processes is highly desirable. Ability to manage a team effectively, fostering a positive work environment. Physical capability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required by the role. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in managing inventory records.
