Overview

We are seeking a experienced Warehouse Supervisor and Forklift Operator to manage our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for weekly and daily stock control safely operating forklifts to handle materials, assist with shipping and receiving, and support overall warehouse operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience and mechanical aptitude to contribute to a dynamic logistics environment. All positions are paid, including internship roles, and provide valuable hands-on experience in materials handling and warehouse management.

Responsibilities

Manage the Warehouse operations of a small business and small team of 2 by maintaining a clean and safe working environment Safely operate forklift trucks to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse Assist with shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation and handling of goods Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records Conduct basic equipment repairs and maintenance checks on forklifts and related machinery Handle materials efficiently, ensuring proper stacking, storage, stock rotation and organisation of goods Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and ensure timely order fulfilment

Requirements

Experience in management of a small team. Valid forklift licence or certification recognised in the UK Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting Knowledge of warehouse management systems (Tracesence) is desirable Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair and troubleshooting Strong understanding of materials handling procedures, shipping & receiving processes Ability to perform basic maths accurately for inventory management and measurements Physical capability for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or moving within the warehouse Good organisational skills with attention to detail Prior experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 15.00-17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 37 per week
