Job Overview


We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Lead to oversee daily operations within our warehouse facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive warehouse experience, and a solid understanding of materials handling and logistics processes. This role involves supervising warehouse activities, managing inventory, and ensuring safety and efficiency across all operations. The Warehouse Lead will play a vital part in maintaining smooth workflow, coordinating shipping and receiving tasks, and supporting the team to meet organisational goals.

Responsibilities



Supervise daily warehouse activities, including loading, unloading, and organising stock. Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely and efficiently. Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods. Oversee inventory management using warehouse management systems (WMS), maintaining accurate records. Coordinate materials handling and storage to optimise space utilisation and accessibility. Lead, train, and support warehouse staff to ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational standards. Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce health & safety regulations within the warehouse environment. Assist with mechanical maintenance or troubleshooting of equipment when necessary. Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and other departments to streamline supply chain operations. Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations related to warehousing activities.

Requirements



Proven experience in warehouse management or supervisory roles within a similar environment. Strong knowledge of forklift operation, including certification if applicable. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control. Experience in materials handling, shipping & receiving, load & unload procedures. Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment maintenance or troubleshooting is desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently; physical fitness is essential. Background in construction or related industries is advantageous but not mandatory. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate a team and foster a positive work environment. Pay: 21,060.00 per year
