Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Warehouse Team Leader to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient distribution, inventory control, and team management. In this role, you will lead a team of warehouse associates, coordinate logistics activities, and implement process improvements to optimize productivity for a key client in the business. Your expertise in warehouse management systems, materials handling, and safety protocols will drive operational excellence and support our commitment to timely shipping and receiving. The Role:

Supporting the Logistics Manager, you will be a hands-on leader responsible for driving daily operational excellence. You will manage client accounts, lead shop-floor teams, and ensure all Value Added Services (VAS) and contract packing meet strict productivity and quality targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:

Drive day-to-day logistics activity, ensuring high output, accuracy, and adherence to client KPIs.

Team Management:

Oversee training, "buddy" onboarding, and performance development. Support the Logistics Manager with HR matters and resource planning.

Customer Focus:

Act as a key contact for client requirements, assisting with the onboarding of new contracts and tailoring solutions to their needs.

Quality & Compliance:

Maintain a "tour-ready" warehouse. Ensure 100% stock integrity across inbound/outbound and accurate digital data capture for invoicing.

Commercial Awareness:

Manage resource levels against budget, identifying continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and maximise revenue.

Safety & Security:

Champion a proactive Health & Safety culture. Assist with site opening/locking and provide management cover as required.

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in a fast-paced warehouse or contract packing environment. A "hands-on" leader who thrives on the shop floor. Strong understanding of logistics KPIs and budget management. Excellent communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
