As a Warehouse Team Leader, you will be responsible for coordinating stock control and warehouse activities, ensuring that goods are accurately received, stored and dispatched to meet customer and RDC requirements. You will play a key role in ensuring warehouse efficiency, maintaining optimal stock integrity and supporting a safe, organised working environment.
Job Overview
Coordinating all goods in and goods out operations to ensure the smooth flow of stock throughout the warehouse.
Allocating stock to correct storage and pick locations while ensuring inventory accuracy within the Warehouse Management System.
Liaising with multiple departments to ensure stock availability and timely delivery performance, monitored through OTIF standards.
Supporting the supervision and organisation of warehouse staff within a 24/7 operating environment.
Conducting regular stock checks, investigating discrepancies and resolving picking or allocation queries promptly.
Managing stock transfers, returns and product updates to maintain real-time data accuracy.
Monitoring system reports to proactively identify and prevent stock-related issues.
Promoting a positive Health & Safety culture by ensuring full compliance with all safe working procedures.
Maintaining high housekeeping standards to ensure a clean, efficient, and well-organised warehouse operation.
Escalating recurring stock or product concerns to management when required.
Minimum Criteria To Apply
Experience within a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment.
Previous exposure to stock control or inventory management (desirable).
Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems and IT-based processes.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support and influence others.
Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills, with strong attention to detail.
A proactive, analytical approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
A collaborative team player who works effectively across multiple departments.
FLT licence or qualification (desirable).
Strong record-keeping ability and a commitment to upholding high accuracy standards.
A strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements in a warehouse environment.
Package
39,211 per annum
Based in Huyton, Liverpool.
40 hours per week working Monday - Friday 8:00am - 17:00pm
28 days paid holiday per year including bank and public holiday allowance rising to 33 days upon 5 years' service
