Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to materials handling, stock management, and shipping & receiving operations within our warehouse environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience or mechanical knowledge to develop their skills further. The position involves physical activity, including heavy lifting, and requires adherence to safety standards to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

Handling materials efficiently, including loading and unloading goods using appropriate equipment such as forklifts Managing stock levels through accurate picking and packing of orders in accordance with customer requirements Operating warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accurately Assisting with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods Stocking shelves and organising storage areas to optimise space utilisation and accessibility Conducting quality control checks on incoming and outgoing products to maintain high standards Performing basic mechanical tasks related to equipment maintenance and troubleshooting issues as needed Ensuring health and safety regulations are followed at all times during daily operations

Qualifications

Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for specific duties Knowledge of materials handling techniques and forklift operation is advantageous Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar software is desirable Physical fitness to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely Mechanical aptitude or basic mechanical knowledge is a plus for equipment maintenance tasks Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for stock accuracy and quality control Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: From 13.00 per hour
