At Lasered Components, we're looking for an experienced and motivated individual with a background in laser cutting or metalworking to join our dynamic production team. As a

Warehouse Operative, you'll play a crucial part in the day-to-day running of our laser cutting process. Your responsibilities will include preparing and loading raw materials, monitoring cutting jobs, unloading finished components, and ensuring a smooth and continuous production flow. You'll be operating state-of-the-art laser cutting machinery, working to exact specifications, and contributing to the consistent delivery of high-quality components to our customers.

Main Accountabilities

To aid in the operation of the Trump Fibre Optic Laser machine. Loading and unloading of sheet metal products either by hand, sheet loaders or forklifts. To perform quality, quantity and dimensional inspections on all parts produced on the laser. To complete company documentation such as job cards via a Sigma MRP database system. Perform basic machine maintenance as directed by a Senior Operative / Team Leader. Ensuring a safe and clean work space and to abide by Health & Safety standards set by the company. Any other duties designated by Management.

Attention to detail - you'll need to be able to follow operational guidelines and read batch numbers and pair them up. Methodical approach to problem solving and ability to use own initiative. Ability to work under pressure, prioritising workload and multitasking. Ability to adapt to a culture of a factory environment with an excellent work ethic, where reliability is a given at all times. Ability to learn through on the job training, to take constructive direction and apply it to the role.

Desirable Attributes

Experience in Health & Safety Training Basic computer skills Excellent time keeping Physically able to strenuous manual handling tasks A desire to learn by shadowing and on the job training Active listening, keen to take instructions and proactive with a can-do attitude Located in Braintree or nearby (max of 30min driving commute)

Working pattern

Early shift - Monday to Friday, 6 am - 2:30 pm (30-minutes unpaid break) No weekends or overtime usually required Starting salary: 13.94 hour (which equates to 28,995.20 annual)
