Overview

As part of our growth plans we are looking for a warehouse operative to support the current team

Forklift licence is essential. Must be experienced using forklifts and pallet trucks. The role is physically demanding and fast-moving. Good command of English both spoken and written is essential. Part of the job is labelling boxes and applying delivery documents; accuracy and attention to detail is essential.

We do sometimes have early morning or late afternoon container deliveries so the successful applicant will be expected to be flexible in their working hours.

We are an integrated team; when not working in the warehouse you will be expected to help in factory production.

Duties

Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment to load, unload, and move materials safely and efficiently Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying shipments and preparing items for dispatch Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stacking and storage in compliance with safety protocols Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance issues Support warehouse management in maintaining organized storage areas and inventory accuracy

Requirements

Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, or related roles Valid forklift certification and experience operating forklifts, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds or more) regularly throughout shifts Prior experience with materials handling, shipping & receiving, construction environments, or crane operation is a plus Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to safety protocols Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and safety standards
