Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while assisting with various warehouse tasks. This position requires a blend of retail skills and warehouse experience, ensuring that our customers receive the best products efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

Assist customers in selecting and purchasing products, providing knowledgeable advice and support. Maintain the sales floor by organising displays, and ensuring product availability. Operate forklifts safely to handle materials and assist with inventory management. (not essential) Perform materials handling tasks including loading and unloading deliveries. Engage in picking and packing orders for shipping and receiving processes. Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accuracy of stock levels. Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Skills

Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable but not essential as full training will be provided. With a strong understanding of materials handling procedures. Proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment (Not essential- full training will be provide) Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during stocking and inventory processes. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail, ensuring efficient stock management. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to assist customers effectively. The role will be halved between our small warehouse and our shop floor (Aylesbury based). Driving licence is preferable so candidate can travel from the two different sites.

Hours: Monday- Saturday (day off during the week) 37.5
