At Prestwick Service Centre we are specialists in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft engine nacelles systems and engine components. An opportunity has arisen for a Wash Bay Operative to work within our Operational Business Units.


We require experienced individuals who will contribute to our success, whilst upholding our reputation as a leading provider of quality MRO services with our European and Middle Eastern customers.

What You Will Do



Perform manual and automated cleaning of aerospace parts, tools, and assemblies using approved washbay chemicals and equipment. Prepare components for inspection, repair or further processing by removing oils, dirt, coatings, or debris. Operate pressure washers, portable washing units and other cleaning equipment safely and effectively. Work closely with mechanic inspectors to ensure parts are cleaned to the correct standard and ready for the next stage of process. Disassembly and assembly of component parts supporting the receiving and shipment processes Carry out routine checks, basic maintenance, and housekeeping of washbay & washbay equipment to ensure a safe working condition. Follow PPE requirements, spill procedures, safe operating instructions, and waste disposal protocols in line with aerospace safety regulations. Compliance with all policies and regulatory procedures inclusive of EH&S, Code of Ethics, Intellectual Property and Global Trade Compliance requirements

The role requires flexibility in rapidly evolving global aviation market. Dayshift/backshift rotation may be required in the role (with associated competitive premiums) and will be complemented with a comprehensive training plan.

Qualifications We Prefer



Mechanical background with ability to demonstrate basic mechanical skills Aviation background desirable although not essential Flexibility with the ability to work a shift pattern to meet the needs of the business demands Ability to communicate and present effectively - both verbally and written Manage time and projects successfully, knowledge of CI would be beneficial Be a team player, have initiative, motivation, and focus Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office suite and SAP experience is desirable
