Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Refuse Collector to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient collection and disposal of waste, ensuring that our community remains clean and environmentally friendly. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to safety.

Pay:

15.50 per hour

37 hours paid per week

Hours:

Monday to Friday 06:45 - 15:00

Responsibilities

To drive the waste and recycling vehicles in a safe manner, following a-planned route (this will involve lots of careful driving and reversing) Communicate effectively with team members and the public to ensure smooth operations during collection routes. Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on vehicles to ensure they are in good working order. Collect refuse from residential and commercial properties according to established schedules. Adhere to all health and safety regulations while performing duties in various weather conditions. Assist with vehicle loading as and when required

Skills & Qualifications:

LGV licence (Class 2 licence) Full clean driving licence Minimum 1 year experience Knowledge of transport operations Prepared to work outdoors in all conditions Flexible to working hours Be fit and able to lift heavy objects
