The opportunity
:
This is a key role within our compliance team, supporting the delivery of accurate, timely and effective data administration that underpins our Waste, WEEE, Batteries and Packaging compliance services. You will play a vital role in maintaining supplier databases, resolving invoice queries, and ensuring the smooth flow of regulatory and operational information across multiple stakeholders.
You will be supporting our internal teams, suppliers, and waste collection customers to meet internal deadlines and external regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities
:
Monitoring of the shared scheme mailbox, offering timely responses to all emails.
Assisting Customer Service in taking calls from Councils/Suppliers requiring assistance with technical/data enquiries.
Liaise with treatment facilities to ensure timely receipt of monthly/quarterly/ad-hoc collection reports, in line with internal and regulatory deadlines.
Accurately record and save copies of all collection reports received across all schemes, as per internal processes
Assist in the administrative upkeep of internal system data, including the pricing matrix and supplier data, to ensure all records are accurate.
Work closely with Purchase Ledger to resolve any invoice queries relating to waste collections in a timely manner.
Support in the creation of monthly material reports to be provided to Councils.
Ensure any queries or complaints are managed in a timely manner and escalated to Supervisors and Managers as appropriate.
Support the scheme compliance team with administrative tasks as required and provide cover during busy periods or periods of leave.
Have a good understanding of each producer compliance regime and the requirements of our Scheme and our Producers to ensure on-going compliance.
Keep abreast of any regulatory changes, with an understanding of the impact to Scheme processes or Producer requirements.
Support in the development and maintenance of all Scheme processes, in line with ISO, and model best practise in following these to promote them being followed by the wider team.
Reporting of any instances of internal/external non-conformance to Management and support in development and implementation of corrective actions to rectify errors and improve internal processes.
Measures of Success:
Supporting the scheme with successfully meeting their regulatory obligations
Successfully managing data administration efficiently and effectively in line with company processes and procedures
Positive feedback received on waste collection customers on high levels of service and satisfaction.
Who you are:
You are a highly organised and detail-oriented administrator, ideally with experience in data management or compliance support. You are confident in working with internal systems and databases, capable of prioritising tasks, and comfortable engaging with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
You'll have:
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
A proactive and solutions-focused mindset
The ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
Experience in handling data and a strong appreciation for accuracy and process
A team player attitude with a willingness to support where needed
Experience in a compliance or waste management environment would be advantageous, but not essential - what matters most is your ability to learn quickly, work diligently and bring a positive, can-do approach.
