Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Waste Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and efficiency within our waste management operations. This position involves working in various environments, handling waste materials, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Duties



Collect and transport waste materials from designated areas to appropriate disposal sites. Operate waste management machinery and equipment, ensuring proper functionality and maintenance. Perform heavy lifting as required, handling bulky or heavy waste items safely. Sort and segregate recyclable materials from general waste to promote sustainability efforts. Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety standards at all times. Assist in the training of new staff members on operational procedures and safety protocols.

Qualifications



Proven mechanical knowledge is advantageous for operating and troubleshooting equipment effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift. Strong attention to detail and commitment to following safety guidelines. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Pay: 24,440.00-34,260.92 per year
