We are seeking a dedicated Waste Management Operative to join our team. This role involves operating heavy equipment, managing waste collection, and maintaining sanitation standards across the site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient waste disposal processes while adhering to safety and environmental regulations. Responsibilities

Operate a forklift to collect and transport waste materials. Manage the loading and unloading of waste using appropriate machinery balers and compactors. Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of equipment and work areas to maintain a safe environment. Assist with the maintenance and inspection of equipment to ensure proper functioning. Follow safety protocols during all operations, including heavy lifting and equipment handling. Ensure timely collection and disposal of waste in accordance with company policies and environmental standards. Maintain accurate records of waste collection activities and report any issues or hazards promptly.

Requirements

Proven experience or training in forklift operation, or heavy equipment handling preferred. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labor for extended periods. Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and waste management. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Valid forklift license preferred. This position is vital for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and environmental compliance across our operations. Pay: 12.21-12.80 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
