The successful candidates will play a crucial role in the efficient collection and management of waste materials. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, environmental standards, and excellent communication skills. The Waste Operative will be responsible for operating vehicles and equipment safely while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Duties

Operate waste collection vehicles and ensuring safe and efficient transportation of waste materials. Perform routine checks and maintenance on vehicles to ensure they are in good working order. Assist in loading and unloading waste materials at designated sites. Communicate effectively with team members and clients to coordinate collection schedules and address any issues that may arise. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle and work area. Adhere to all health and safety regulations while performing duties. Provide support in warehouse operations as needed, including sorting and processing waste materials.

Experience

Driver - Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is highly desirable. Driver - A valid driving licence is required, with experience driving flatbed vehicles being advantageous. Driver - Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for performing basic maintenance tasks on vehicles. Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with team members and clients.
