Your role:




The main responsibilities of the role are:


Undertake driving duties on allocated work, ensuring completed each day and transport waste to a designated disposal point.


To carry out the physical requirements of the role, including manual handling of bulky items, pulling/pushing wheel bins when full and walking for long periods.


Undertake duties in a positive way, ensuring self and crew's compliance with safe working practices and procedures, reporting issues promptly to management.


To provide assistance to other rounds and services as required.


To deliver/ repair and bring in bins as required.


To respond promptly to customer complaints and complete accurate records of action taken.


Be responsible for completion of all prescribed forms, both manual or electronic;


Four day working Tuesday to Friday 9.25 hours per day.

About you:



At Waste Services, our aim is simple: to provide a quality, customer focused service. We are looking to recruit One Waste Service Operatives to our successful waste services team. You must hold a full UK driving licence including cat C1 and valid CPC Driver Qualification Card, work effectively as part of team and have a flexible and "can do" attitude to work.


This role is essential in ensuring we deliver a quality cost effective recycling / waste collection service to the residents of the borough; you will promote our waste collection policy and encourage residents to recycle more and recycle right.
