The Role:
As a Water Restoration Technician, you'll be one of the first on site after a water or fire incident. You'll assess the damage, install drying systems, carry out strip-out work, and support fire decontamination and deodorisation.
responsibilities will include:
Attending emergency callouts to assess water or fire damage
Conducting moisture surveys using air, surface, and core testing tools
Installing and monitoring drying equipment
Performing strip-out works (plasterboard, flooring, insulation)
Supporting Fire Technicians with cleaning, deodorisation, and odour control
Completing risk assessments and following health and safety procedures
Providing clear communication to clients and updating job records
About You:
We're looking for someone who is:
. BDMA Senior Technician or equivalent
Practical, hands-on, and solution-focused
Confident working with tools and drying equipment
Comfortable working in varied environments, including damaged or flooded buildings
Reliable and able to work on-site and travel daily from our Somercotes base
You'll need:
Full UK driving licence (Essential)
Ability to pass a DBS check (Essential)
Strong communication and organisation skills
Experience in restoration or construction (preferred but not essential)
BDMA certification or equivalent (Essential)
Working Hours:
Minimum 40 hours per week over five days
Some weekend or out-of-hours work may be required
Travel to job sites from our Somercotes location using company vehicles
