The Role



The Senior (JF5) in the Wealth Management team



We are looking for a Diploma qualified Para-Planner to join our team.



Working as part of the Financial Planning Support Team, you will need to provide high quality and accurate support to Financial Planners.

To provide technical and research support to the planners To assist the support team and compliance department when required Prepare suitability reports Prepare review reports Prepare summary of recommendations for processing team Ensure all recommendations meet with company standards Question the planner's recommendations if applicable Discuss any cases that are not clear with your line manager or compliance manager. Collate (or complete) application forms Learn and maintain a detailed understanding of firm centralised investment proposition and relevant internal procedures Ensure client records are maintained and information is correctly recorded on intelliflo

Technical Skills



Financial Software Proficiency


Financial Planning Software: Basic knowledge of tools such as Intelliflo Planning and CashCalc.

Portfolio Management Systems: Introduction to software like FE Analytics 2. Data Entry and Management

Excel: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel for simple data entry and basic functions.




Document Management Systems: Initial experience with systems like DocuSign, SharePoint, or Box for document handling.





Financial Analysis and Reporting


Basic Financial Analysis: Understanding basic financial concepts and being able to perform simple financial calculations.

Report Generation: Skills in generating basic suitability reports using templates and guidance.




Administrative and Organisational Skills


Time Management: Developing skills in managing time to balance training with task completion.

Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and report preparation.

Document Handling: Learning to handle, scan, and file documents accurately.

Internal Communication: Effective communication with team members and supervisors.

Client Interaction: Basic skills in client communication, primarily under supervision.




Technical Support and Troubleshooting


Basic IT Skills: Basic understanding of IT support for troubleshooting simple software and hardware issues. 7. Regulatory and Compliance Knowledge

Introduction to Compliance: Basic understanding of compliance requirements relevant to financial planning. 8. Learning and Development

Professional Development: Commitment to ongoing learning, including studying for relevant qualifications (e.g., CFP, PFS).

Training Software: Experience with online learning platforms and training modules related to financial planning.




Workflow Automation



Process Understanding: Basic understanding of workflows within the financial planning process.


Basic Automation Tools: Introduction to simple automation tools to streamline basic tasks.




Additional Technical Skills



Email Management Systems: Proficiency in using systems like Microsoft Outlook for managing communications.





Soft Skills


Analytical Thinking: Developing analytical thinking to understand client needs and financial data.

Problem-Solving: Basic problem-solving skills to handle simple issues or escalate them appropriately.




Financial Documentation


Document Preparation: Learning to prepare financial documents such as fact finds, risk profiles, and investment summaries under supervision.




Client Needs Analysis


Data Gathering: Skills in gathering and organising client data for analysis and planning.

Qualifications



CII Level 4 Diploma

Essential Experience



Experience in managing and delivering wealth management services to clients.



Paraplanning experience is essential.



Experience in using CRM systems and financial software.
