ShoeString is a fast growing business supplying Shoe accessories to the consumer and retail trade. Everything except the shoes.

We are looking for someone capable, energetic, outgoing and competent in Graphic Design, using WIX, Social media in a brand building manner to maximum growth.

This is an exciting opportunity for anyone with photography, graphic design, web skills, but also with an outgoing personality to pick-up the phone to assist customers when needing advise. Skill in using Excel for templates, an advantage.

You will be involved with the technical and graphical aspects of print design, and online - how it works and how it looks. Responsible for the maintenance and update of existing sites.

Can you write the WIX programming code, either from scratch or by adapting existing website software, test a website and identify any technical problems.
Upload the site onto a server and register it with different search engines.
Hours, 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

The role will never be boring, you will be immersed in to the world of repairs, design and footwear.

You will build our membership, work with different forums with similar interests, design, and organise our exhibition bi-annually.

You will be expected to:

establish the purpose of the website based upon its target audience
identify the type of content the site will host
determine any functionality that the site must support, for example, whether it will handle financial transactions or enquiries
give guidance on layout, colours and styles.
write the programming code, either from scratch or by adapting existing website software and graphics packages to meet business requirements
test the website and identify any technical problems
upload the site onto a server and register it with different search engines.
have skills in software programming and graphics
have creativity and imagination
be adaptable and able to pick up new techniques
have good interpersonal and communication skills
be able to work on your own or in a team
be able to work to tight deadlines
be thorough and precise in your work
be able to multi-task
be aware of international web standards and protocols
be able to use initiative.
You will work as part of a team, which will include a web author/editor and an account manager.

This is not a position where the applicant is looking for training in to the position, this is the opportunity for someone who wants to create and impress by their own design.
