The role in short

We are seeking a talented website developer to join our dedicated and collaborative development team. This role involves developing and maintaining our ecommerce platform, which is built using Laravel, Vue.js and hosted on Google Cloud. We prioritise quality, automated testing, and robust, maintainable code to deliver outstanding customer experiences.

Onto the nitty gritty!

Develop features and enhancements for our ecommerce platform using Laravel and Vue.js. Maintain and optimise existing functionality for performance, scalability, and reliability. Integrate APIs and third-party services, including marketing, payments, and logistics. Perform rigorous testing and participate in peer code reviews to maintain high-quality code. Identify and resolve technical challenges independently and collaboratively. Provide technical support on issues identified by the business.

We'd like to meet someone with

Essential:

Strong experience with PHP and the Laravel framework. Experience developing front-end components using Vue.js and JavaScript. Proficient understanding of MySQL, database design, and optimisation. Familiarity with Git version control and GitHub workflows. Strong communication skills and a proactive, collaborative attitude. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly adapt to changing requirements.

Desirable:

Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform. Experience with Linux command-line tools and basic server administration.
