A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to join this well-established wedding and events venue to provide maternity cover for up to a year. We are seeking a people person with a passion for weddings. Excellent communication skills are a must and applicants should have experience in the events/hospitality industry. Sales experience would also be beneficial.
The role is to provide maternity cover for up to a year, although we may wish to extend the contract depending on the business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to all wedding and event enquiries in a timely, confident & professional manner, taking every opportunity to up sell and identify sales opportunities.
Ensure a high conversion rate of enquiries to sales.
Conduct client show rounds and appointments, displaying a clear & comprehensive knowledge of the venue, menus and packages.
Produce detailed proposals for prospective clients, liaising to ascertain their precise event requirements and ensuring clients are aware of the full terms of business.
Send out booking confirmations, contracts, collect deposits, collate and issue final accounts, and ensure that all payments are received by the due date.
Liaise with the operational team to ensure all event details are handed over so that service is delivered to meet and exceed the client expectations.
Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction, both pre, post and during each event. Conducting post event feedback requests to check satisfaction and secure repeat business if appropriate.
Hold strong working relationships with all departments, including, kitchen, front of house and bar.
Carry out spot checks at events, ensuring high operational standards are met at the venue.
Research markets to identify opportunities and benchmarking.
Menu and package development.
Organise and participate in Wedding Open Days and Wedding Fairs at the venue.

Applicants must be experienced in the wedding or events industry
and will have worked in the industry previously. This rewarding position is full time, working 5 days out of 7.
Commitment to flexible working and working some evenings and weekends is essential.
