: Wedding Manager

As You Like It is an incredibly popular bar and wedding venue, renowned for delivering exceptional experiences for our wedding couples. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Wedding Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of weddings held at our venue. This role is key to ensuring that every couple has the perfect day, from their initial preparations to the final farewell.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Wedding Liaison:

Meet with wedding couples the night before their wedding to ensure a detailed understanding of their expectations, vision, and any last-minute details to make their day flawless. Establish a strong rapport with the couple and provide expert advice on the final touches needed for their big day.

Day-of Wedding Management:

Act as the primary point of contact for the couple and guests on the wedding day, ensuring their needs and expectations are met. Lead the operations team to ensure a seamless flow of the day, from the morning preparations until all wedding duties are complete. Oversee the ceremony setup and execution, ensuring everything runs on time and according to the couple's wishes. Ensure the function suite is perfectly set for the wedding breakfast, managing all transitions smoothly. Lead the service team during the wedding breakfast, ensuring the food is delivered in good time and to the highest standard. Take responsibility for leading the team during the evening reception, ensuring that the wedding barn is turned around quickly and efficiently for the evening event. Maintain focus on delivering an outstanding guest experience throughout the evening, keeping the team motivated and ensuring a seamless event. Oversee the end-of-night procedures, ensuring all closing tasks are completed to make the venue 10/10 ready for viewings the next morning. Assume Duty Manager responsibilities as needed, ensuring smooth operations of the restaurant and reception areas during the evening and completing additional tasks such as cashing up and H&S closing checks.

Off-Season Responsibilities:

During the off-peak season, when there are fewer weddings, provide support to the restaurant and bar, leading the restaurant team to ensure excellent service and a memorable guest experience. Focus on improving the restaurant's service standards, assisting with training, and supporting daily operations.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

Proven experience in wedding management or event coordination, preferably within a hotel or venue setting. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with wedding couples, staff, and vendors. Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team of staff to ensure smooth operations. Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Flexibility to work a mix of daytime and late shifts, with the understanding that wedding days can be long and dynamic. Ability to handle the pressure of delivering a flawless event, while maintaining a calm and positive demeanour. Experience in a customer service or hospitality role is essential salary will be based on experience.
