Role Overview
We are seeking a highly professional and experienced Wedding Sales and Operations Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of our wedding business. This is a unique opportunity to work in a truly historic and prestigious setting, delivering exceptional events that match the beauty and grandeur of our 700 year old venue.
The ideal candidate will bring a passion for excellence, an eye for detail, and a talent for both sales and seamless operational execution. You'll be the face of our weddings - working closely with clients from enquiry right through to the big day, ensuring everything runs flawlessly and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Client Relations
Proactively drive wedding sales, including handling enquiries, conducting show rounds, and converting bookings.
Build strong relationships with wedding clients from initial contact through to post-wedding follow-up
Be the main point of contact for all wedding clients, ensuring clear and constant communication throughout
Work closely with the marketing team to ensure promotional materials and social media are current and impactful
Provide exceptional customer service and a personalised experience for each couple.
Event Operations
Lead the planning and coordination of each wedding, ensuring every detail is executed to the exacting standards of the venue
Oversee event set up and on-the-day management, working closely with the front of house team
Oversee the planning and delivery of each wedding day, ensuring a seamless and professional experience.
Coordinate and lead the event team, including set up, service and breakdown
Ensure all staff are fully briefed, appropriately uniformed (liveried) and deliver service to the highest possible standard.
Team leadership and venue standards
Train, mentor and lead a team of event staff to maintain excellent service standards.
Ensure the venue is always presented to a high standard, reflective of its history and prestige
Collaborate with other departments and suppliers to ensure smooth event execution.
Requirements
Proven experience in wedding and/or events management (minimum 3 years preferred)
Strong sales and client relationship management skills
Impeccable attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards under pressure
Exceptional communication and organisational skills
Leadership experience in managing and training hospitality/event teams
Comfortable working weddings and flexible hours as required
A passion for the heritage of the Hall and delivering extraordinary experiences.
Working Hours & Remuneration
You will be expected to work 34 hours over a 4 day week, which must include weekends (both Saturday and Sunday). On wedding and event days you will be expected to work a longer day.
There is a starting salary of 28,000, plus commission on wedding bookings taken.
