Job Overview

We are seeking a part-time assistant Baker, for one or two days at the weekend, from 4 to 16 hours week. We are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a assistant Baker. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and production areas, focusing on high-quality food preparation and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a background in the food industry, with skills in baking, cake decorating, and food safety practices.

Duties

Prepare and bake a variety of cakes, and other baked goods according to established recipes and standards. Decorate cakes with creativity and attention to detail, ensuring visual appeal for customers. Package finished products for sale while maintaining quality standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Follow all food handling guidelines to ensure the safety of all products served.

Requirements

Previous experience in a culinary role or related field is preferred. Strong skills in cake decorating, baking, and food preparation are essential. Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is required. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
