Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our veterinary practice for weekend work only. The ideal candidate will be passionate about animal care and welfare, providing support to veterinarians and nurses and ensuring a positive experience for both pets and their owners.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and organisation Handle and restrain animals safely during treatments Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis Ensure all equipment is properly sterilised and maintained Animal Husbandry and care and assisting the nursing team.

Experience

Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm for animal care is crucial Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 10.00-12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 10 per week
