Overview

We're looking for a passionate and reliable

Weekend Chef

with

experience in Indian cuisine

to join our growing kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and culinary arts, with a keen understanding of food safety and hospitality standards. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests and to ensure the highest quality of food preparation.

Duties

Prepare and cook Indian-inspired dishes to a high standard, according to established recipes and menu specifications. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen. Collaborate with management to develop new menu items, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer feedback. Monitor inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed while minimising waste. Maintain an efficient workflow within the kitchen, ensuring timely service during peak hours. Assist in the planning and execution of special events or catering services as required.

What We're Looking For:

Solid experience cooking Indian cuisine (within a pub/restaurant or hospitality environment) Tandoor experience is a

Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of food preparation techniques and presentation. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices to ensure compliance in the kitchen. Leadership abilities with experience in supervising staff and fostering teamwork. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes that delight guests. Flexibility to work for weekends, and holidays as needed.
