Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to enhance their culinary skills. Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service during busy periods. Develop new menu items and specials that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends. Conduct regular quality checks on food preparation and presentation.

Skills

Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or similar culinary environment. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, and kitchen equipment. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation. Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
