We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commis to join our culinary team on a Weekend. Saturday and Sunday daytime only. This role involves supporting the kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, assisting in food production, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior chefs Support food production processes to ensure timely service delivery Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety standards Supervise junior team members when required, providing guidance and support Ensure all ingredients are properly stored and labelled in accordance with health regulations Contribute to menu development by suggesting new ideas and techniques Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages to management promptly Uphold high standards of hygiene, safety, and cleanliness throughout the kitchen environment

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene Previous supervising or team management experience is desirable Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude Culinary experience or formal training in hospitality or culinary arts is preferred Familiarity with food production processes and restaurant operations A proactive approach to learning and professional development within the culinary field
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 195.36-203.36 per week

Expected hours: 16 per week
