Overview

Here at Corner Coffee, we are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic runner to join our tight knit and friendly team. This person will support both back of house and front of house team members in ensuring that customers receive their orders promptly and accurately, and help us deliver great customer experiences every time.

This role has fixed shifts every Saturday and Sunday 9am-2pm (10 hours per week) and will be paid at the national wage for the candidates age bracket.

This could be a great starter role for a young person looking to begin their career in hospitality.

Duties

Deliver food and beverages to the correct table efficiently and accurately. Treat every customer in a polite and friendly manner, assisting them with simple queries and/or escalating appropriately to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the coffee shop and kitchen. Ensure adherence to food safety standards throughout the delivery process. Provide support to kitchen staff as needed, including assisting cooks during busy periods.

Requirements

Available for fixed shifts 9-2 every Saturday and Sunday (except prebooked holidays agreed with management). Previous experience in busy cafe or restaurant environment is preferred, though full trianing is provided. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work as part of a team. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Ability to maintain a friendly manner at all times even when under pressure. An interest in a career in hospitality or culinary pursuits is a bonus.
