Marwood Residential Home is a dedicated 24-hour residential care facility, focused on providing person-centred, home-from-home care for residents facing challenges related to old age and disability.

Summary

We are seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our team in the heart of our residential facility. This role is vital in ensuring that our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals, contributing significantly to their overall well-being and happiness. Shift times are 7:00am - 11:00am.

Responsibilities

Assist in meal preparation and food preparation for residents Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen Ensure compliance with food safety standards Help with inventory management and stock rotation Assist in catering for special events or dietary needs Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming dining experience Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is preferred Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices Ability to work effectively as part of a team Good communication skills Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment Basic culinary skills are an advantage but not essential. Experience with serving or customer service is a plus
