We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Weekend Kitchen Assistant to join our current kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation and service run smoothly. Please note there will also be holiday cover required to support the current kitchen staff.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of meals by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as required.
Carry out cooking tasks, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards at all times.
Help with events by preparing and serving food as directed.
Monitor stock levels of kitchen supplies and report any shortages to the head cook.
Participate in cleaning duties, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
Experience
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, including roles in catering or restaurants.
Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and food safety regulations is essential.
Culinary experience is advantageous but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is key.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are crucial for success in this role.
