Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our vibrant team in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The Kitchen Porter plays a crucial role in supporting the culinary team by ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. All applicants must be available to work over the Christmas period.

Duties

Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained. Wash, dry, and store kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and equipment promptly after use. Keep the kitchen area clean and organised, including sweeping and mopping floors as necessary. Help with the delivery and storage of food supplies, ensuring that items are stored correctly to maintain freshness Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the head chef or kitchen manage

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Strong organisational skills with an ability to work efficiently under pressure Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen. Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain high standards of cleanliness
