Job Summary

We are seeking two compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to a wonderful lady in Kingsbridge who is in need of assistance. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for older people. This role involves delivering personal care, companionship, and support to a person with Alzheimers. The client is mobile and able, but benefits from support to remember to complete tasks, play scrabble and go for walks.

The two carers attending would work on a weekend on, weekend off basis and the hours would be 5pm Friday to 9:30am Monday. Pay for this role is 378 per weekend and there is also an opportunity to work with other clients in the area mid week.

Responsibilities

Prompt personal care and offer support, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Administer medication Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences and eat with the client Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being. Support clients with daily living activities while respecting their dignity and independence. Monitor clients' health status and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by following hygiene protocols. Provide hospice care when necessary, ensuring comfort during end-of-life stages.

Experience

Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Experience with assisted living or home care settings is desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients are essential. A caring attitude, patience, and empathy towards those in need are crucial for success in this role.
