Job Summary

Small, friendly, family run care home in Preston Park, Brighton, looking to recruit a part-time carer to work the following shifts on a permanent basis.

Saturday 2pm-8pm

Sunday 2pm-8pm

Every OTHER week

There will also be the opportunity for extra hours to cover staff holidays etc.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility Administer medication in accordance with prescribed care plans and medical guidance Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements Support clients with mobility and lifting as needed, ensuring safety at all times Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and update care plans regularly Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being Drive clients to appointments or outings when required, ensuring safe transportation Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to deliver comprehensive patient care Follow health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary

Qualifications

Previous experience in nursing home, care home, or home care environments is highly desirable Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures Strong communication skills and the ability to manage behavioural challenges effectively Ability to assist with mobility needs Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to improve clients' quality of life Organised with the ability to follow detailed care plans and case management protocols
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 25,350.00-28,500.00 per year

Expected hours: 6 per week
