Mechanical PPM Engineer - Weekend Shift
Location: Pontrilas Sawmills, Herefordshire
Hours: Weekend Shift - Friday to Sunday, 05:45-18:15
Salary: 40,371 + Weekly Production Bonus + Overtime

Pontrilas Sawmills, a respected and long-established leader in the timber industry, is looking for a proactive and skilled Mechanical PPM Engineer to join our engineering team on the weekend shift. Key Responsibilities:
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across a range of mechanical systems and equipment.
Conduct inspections, routine servicing, and pre-emptive repairs to minimise downtime.
Support safe and efficient plant operation by identifying and addressing potential mechanical faults.
Collaborate with the wider maintenance and production teams to ensure high equipment availability.
Accurately document all maintenance tasks and report critical issues.

Requirements:
Mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong skills in mechanical fault-finding, servicing, and preventative maintenance.
Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding (MIG/MAG/MMA) is highly desirable.
Completion of a recognised Mechanical Apprenticeship (or equivalent qualification).
Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety and reliability.
Ability to work independently on a weekend shift.
