Production Manufacturing Shift Manager

Weekend Working - 20 Hours

An part-time opportunity is available for a Weekend Shift Manager (Saturday & Sunday) to join our production team at our dairy in Bridge of Allan. This role reports directly to the Operations Manager and offers significant independence, providing a genuine chance to contribute meaningfully to our growing business.

Responsibilities

The role of the Shift Manager will lead and manage the production facility and resources on shift to meet our customer requirements for milk, butter and cream. Plan and anticipate future challenges, providing solutions as needed to meet production schedules. Ensure production is run in a cost-effective manner, by reducing waste, improving housekeeping, and increasing productivity. Analyse data relating to the performance of the production department and provide solutions Develop, coach staff and train staff within the team. Work in close relationship with the other Shift Managers, Supervisors, Engineers and Technical team. Ensure a safe working environment for all team members, working with Health and Safety to create a proactive culture.
The successful candidate will ideally be from a manufacturing background and will have proven experience as a first line manager. You must be a proven problem solver who uses data and their initiative to resolve operational issues and drives continuous improvement.

Preferably candidates will hold an Intermediate Food Hygiene, IOSH Managing safely certificate and experience of Lean Manufacturing.

Salary 16,100
