We are looking for someone who is interested in developing their skills and contributing to our growth to join the team at our Ellesmere Port Site. The ideal candidate is confident with a can-do attitude who is excited at the prospect of developing themselves. This is a very active role that requires an organised and strong communicator. You will report to, and work closely with, the Sales Manager who oversees all inbound sales, you will be solely responsible for logistics and bookings as an extension of this department. Additionally supporting other aspects of Sales within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Efficiently schedule and assign tyre collections on a daily basis to drivers across multiple sites;
Coordinate transport options, including external haulage;
Respond to daily queries and issues from colleagues and customers, providing instructions and ensuring an overall positive experience;
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers;
Answer inbound calls for tyre collection bookings and sales;
Ensure timely return and processing of transfer notes;
Taking payments in person and over the phone, providing accurate and up-to-date invoices;
Coordinate vehicle maintenance, including servicing, PMI's and MOTs
Accurately recording the weight of vehicles and their loads using the weighbridge system.
Inputting and managing data related to weighbridge transactions, customer details, logistics activities, using specialised software;
Maintaining records, handling paperwork, and potentially assisting with invoicing or other administrative duties.
Assisting with other site-related tasks, including stocktaking, material handling, and general operational support.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and other relevant procedures.
Skills & Experience:
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills -
Clear and effective communication with drivers and other personnel is essential;
IT skills -
Proficient using MS Office, particularly Excel. Experience using weighbridge software (such as Wastelogics) and other related technologies, is desirable;
Organisational skills:
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
Customer service skills:
Providing a positive and helpful experience for drivers, customers and visitors.
Problem-solving skills:
Troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise.
Experience in a similar role:
Previous experience in a weighbridge or logistics environment is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
