The Heavenly Bake Company LTD is a specialist cake manufacturer based in Wellingborough, who specialise in creating several different baked goods for key retail partners nationally. Shift Pattern:

5:30am - 2:30pm Monday to Friday shift pattern

Job Summary

- Operating machinery: This includes setting up, tending, and monitoring equipment used for mixing, blending, or cooking food products.

- Following recipes and formulas: Ensuring accurate measurements and proportions of ingredients are added to the mixture.

- Maintaining quality and safety:

- Monitoring the mixing process, checking for proper consistency, and ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.

- Cleaning and maintenance: Maintaining a clean and organized work area, and performing basic maintenance on mixing equipment.

- Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving issues with the mixing process or equipment.

- Record keeping: Maintaining accurate records of ingredients used, mixing times, and other relevant data.

Your tasks

- Weighing and measuring ingredients.

- Adding ingredients to the mixing bowl or machine.

- Adjusting mixing time, temperature, and speed.

- Observing and assessing the consistency of the mixture.

- Baking some ingredients, like icings or fillings, in kettles.

- Operating equipment like pumps, elevators, and control panels.

Responsibilities:

It can be complicated and physically challenging. Especially with audit requirements and customer expectations to exceed. We're looking for people willing to learn and keen to progress. You'll have Food Mixing experience and understand all about Health and food safety. You'll also need to be comfortable wearing PPE, working in a factory environment and working within a fast-pace environment. Attitude and work ethic is key role.

Skills and Qualifications:

Technical skills: Experience with operating food mixing machinery and understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.

- Physical fitness: Ability to lift and move ingredients and equipment, and perform tasks that may involve bending, stooping, and repetitive motions.

- Math skills: Accurate measurement and calculation of ingredients are crucial.

- Attention to detail: Ensuring accurate ingredient measurements and adherence to recipes.

- Communication and teamwork: Working effectively with other team members and supervisors.

- Problem-solving skills: Identifying and resolving issues that may arise during the mixing process.

- Have all round cleaning experience within in a manufacturing production and food manufacturing environment

- Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities

- Be able to work on own initiative and manage own time

- Be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and management team

- Have good knowledge of H&S and COSHH

- Be a champion of health and safety practices

- Have experience achieving targets and standards within the workplace

- Have a good communication level

Pay: 14.50 per hour
