We're looking for a

Welcome Team Coordinator

to provide a warm, calm and professional in-person experience for patients attending

Deptford Medical Centre.






This is a

front-of-house, patient-facing role

. All phone calls, emails and online requests are handled centrally, so this role focuses on welcoming patients, supporting safe patient flow and contributing to

proactive patient care

within the practice.




Patients don't always arrive at their best. They may be unwell, anxious or worried. You'll help patients feel listened to and supported, while also helping clinical teams by making sure patient information and observations are accurate and up to date.

What you'll do





Welcome patients and visitors to the practice. Support safe and smooth patient flow. Use empathy and de-escalation skills to manage difficult situations. Collect and record patient observations and medical vitals. Keep reception and waiting areas clean, safe and welcoming. Escalate urgent in-person concerns when needed.

What we're looking for





Someone who enjoys working directly with people. Clear, compassionate communication skills. Calm and professional under pressure. Organised and comfortable using IT systems. A team player who cares about patient experience and quality care. Healthcare experience is helpful but not essential. We'll provide full training and ongoing support.

opening and/or closing shifts

We don't offer middle-of-the-day-only shifts.

Part-time options may include:Compressed hours (

8:00am - 6:30pm

10:00am - 6:30pm

)
