Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our dynamic team. The role involves finishing castings within the Weld Bay using finishing process and equipment. Good IT skills are required for administrative tasks and process booking. The employee will willingly undertake, upon request, any other task they are able to perform. Elements of the role may vary as new technology, procedures and equipment are introduced.

Duties

TIG/MIG Welding Experience Removal of defects using air tools Raising salvage paperwork Keeping accurate records of reworked castings Updating information on the business management APP Visual Inspection Liaise with quality, engineering and production on problem solving General admin duties within the inspection department Liaise with Quality and help generate concession applications. Identifying and removing imperfections from castings Using calibrated measuring equipment General and visual inspection Reading and understanding specifications and standards General and cosmetic tidy up of castings using air powered and electric tools. General duties within the Finishing Department. Using IT applications as necessary for the role

Experience

Previous experience in welding Experience within a manufacturing background would be highly preferred. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment Excellent numerical skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks Excellent communication skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Pay: 13.25-15.30 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
