are recruiting for 2 x Welder / Plater's to carry out general Structural Welding repairs within Scunthorpes Structural Steel Works.
Carrying out Stick welding duties In British Steel, stick welding (Shielded Metal Arc Welding or SMAW) duties involve fabricating and assembling metal parts using intense heat, requiring welders to interpret blueprints, select appropriate welding techniques, and maintain equipment for quality and safety.
Scunthorpe Steelworks is a steel mill with blast furnaces in North Lincolnshire. This facility is the last plant in the UK capable of producing Virgin Steel, which is used in major construction projects like new buildings and railways.
Working as part of a team you will be hired for a 7 day shut down working 12 hour shifts per day beginning at 06:00am.
Shift rate will be 300.00 per day.
