Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated Welder at our site in Tamworth to join our welding team. You will play a crucial part in welding Steel, stainless steel and aluminium assemblies, interpreting engineering drawings and working within a team to reach production targets.

Duties

Welding components made from steel and aluminium. Interpreting engineering drawings to meet specification. Responsibility for self-inspection. Experienced in traceability for filler rod materials. Monitors equipment for appropriate usage and temperature. Maintains a thorough knowledge of universal standards and specifications in order to meet legal requirements. Support the needs of the business by undertaking any task as requested by management provided the task is within your capability and appropriate training is provided. This list is not exhaustive.

Skills

Steel and Stainless Steel TIG Welding and MIG/MAG Welding (essential). Aluminium TIG Welding (essential). Reading engineering drawings (essential). Relevant certifications or qualifications in welding would be advantageous. Excellent attention detail (essential). Experience of a manufacturing industry (essential). Aluminium MIG Welding (desirable). Basic computing literacy (desirable but not essential). This is a shop floor-based role, requiring the post holder to undertake manual handling, use hand tools, computers and work in a manufacturing environment.
