Job Description

Responsibilities:

Ensuring all HSE standards and pre-operation checks are carried out on shift by team.

Ensuring all quality 1st off and inspections are carried out by team.

Promote best practices in health and safety, environmental and quality in line with company principles.

Oversee welding activities and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Review and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine welding requirements.

Supervise and manage a team of welders, providing guidance and feedback as needed.

Monitor performance of welding team and take corrective actions where performance is not satisfactory.

Understand welding team capacity and implement timely mitigating actions in the event of access demand.

Develop operators in all processes to achieve their maximum potential and fostering a spirit of team working.

Schedule and coordinate welding work based on delivery timelines and customer demands.

Perform quality control checks on welding work to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.

Monitor inventory of welding consumables and equipment and order replacements when necessary.

Maintain accurate records of welding activities, and produce reports as requested.

Promote and maintain a high housekeeping in all welding areas.

Implement and encourage new technology and practices to enhance safety, performance and efficiency.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a welding Supervisor or similar role.

Strong knowledge of welding processes, materials, and equipment.

Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.

Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

The working hours will be Monday - Thursday 7am-5pm and the salary will be negotiable depending upon experience and demonstratable level of expertise.
