We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lecturer to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, fostering an engaging learning environment, and supporting students in their academic development. The Lecturer will be expected to develop innovative teaching methods and participate in curriculum planning to ensure the delivery of comprehensive and current course content.
Duties
Deliver engaging lectures and seminars in accordance with the curriculum, ensuring clarity and accessibility for all students
Develop and update course materials, including syllabi, assignments, and assessments
Assess student work fairly and provide constructive feedback to support their academic progress
Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and critical discussion
Organise tutorials, workshops, or additional support sessions as needed
Engage in academic research or professional development activities to enhance teaching quality
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and departmental initiatives
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress in compliance with institutional policies
Requirements
Proven proficiency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire students
Strong teaching experience within higher education or similar settings
Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple courses and administrative responsibilities effectively
Proficiency in IT tools relevant to teaching, such as virtual learning environments, presentation software, and online resources
Outstanding communication skills to engage diverse student populations and collaborate with colleagues
A recognised qualification in the relevant subject area (e.g., a Master's degree or higher)
Prior experience in curriculum development or academic research is desirable but not essential
