About The Role



JOB TITLE: Wellbeing Advisor



LOCATION: Hillsborough, NI - with some UK wide travel



CONTRACT TYPE:

Temporary Fixed Term - 14months




Job Purpose





The Wellbeing Advisor plays a central role in promoting and embedding a culture of positive mental health and wellbeing across GRAHAM - It provides a vital connection in supporting our employees, their families, and supply chain partners to access appropriate support services.



This fixed term contract is a proactive, hands-on role that combines strategic input with direct support to employees, managers, and Mental Health First Aiders.

creative, dynamic, and empathetic professional

with a background in wellbeing, counselling, or social work, who is passionate about making a tangible difference in people's lives.



Key Responsibilities




1. Pastoral Care & Counselling




Provide one-to-one support for employees referred by HR, managers, or First Aiders. Deliver CBT-style or other therapeutic interventions (as qualified). Develop personalised support plans and refer to external services when needed. Support employees with anxiety, bereavement, work-related stress, etc. Ensure new employees with pre-existing conditions are supported with workplace adjustments. Maintain confidential records and provide statistical reports.

2. Emotional Wellbeing Support




Design and deliver wellbeing education and prevention programmes. Train staff and managers on emotional wellbeing. Support and enhance the Mental Health First Aid service, including reflective practice sessions. Promote a positive mental wellbeing culture internally and externally.

3. Wellbeing Process Management




Contribute to wellbeing strategy reporting and compliance. Manage content on internal wellbeing platforms (e.g., WORKVIVO, ASHIA). Lead wellbeing campaigns and stigma-reduction initiatives. Deliver site visits, toolbox talks, and open-door clinics. Evaluate wellbeing resources and analyse data for continuous improvement.

4. Administration




Maintain wellbeing data systems and case management databases. Assist with travel arrangements, presentations, and general admin tasks.

5. External Partnerships




Build relationships with external wellbeing organisations and referral services (e.g., EAP, NHS). Establish referral pathways to ensure access to professional support.

Essential Criteria




Professional qualification in Wellbeing, Social Work, or related field. Significant experience delivering one-to-one wellbeing interventions. Excellent interpersonal and case management skills. Ability to work independently and manage a caseload. Full UK driving licence, willingness to travel and work flexibly.

Desirable Criteria




Postgraduate qualification or counselling certification. Experience in construction or similar industries. Experience designing wellbeing programmes.
