As a Wellbeing in Nature Facilitator, you'll work directly with Participants, helping them
develop new skills, build confidence, and overcome personal barriers--all through the
power of nature.
Our Wellbeing in Nature Facilitators are part of the Operations Team and report to the
Operations Managers. This varied and rewarding role combines delivery, Participant
support, and administrative responsibilities. You'll work with individuals and groups of all
ages and abilities, tailoring activities to meet their unique needs, from supporting mental
health to fostering skills for independence.
We need to highlight that this role is physically and emotionally demanding, you'll be
working outdoors all year round, facing various weather conditions and changes in routines.
You will also need to transport tools, water, and equipment in all weather. Our Participants
come to us for support with often very challenging personal circumstances. The role offers a
profound sense of fulfilment as you help participants achieve personal growth, but it isn't an
easy job.
Responsibilities:
Participant Support and Delivery:
o Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that encourages personal
growth and builds participants' self-esteem and confidence.
o Plan and deliver tailored activities, ensuring flexibility to adapt to
participants' varying needs and support requirements.
o Actively assist in practical aspects of sessions, including cooking meals and
integrating this activity into the overall participant experience.
o Facilitate activities like walk-and-talks, group sessions, and skills-based
workshops, ensuring responsibilities are rotated among the team.
Safeguarding and Well-being:
o Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all participants, recognising
and addressing safeguarding concerns in line with Green Light Trust's
policies.
o Promote positive mental health, physical well-being, and social connection.
Administrative Responsibilities:
o Complete pre-course administrative tasks, including participant onboarding,
risk assessments, and preparation of materials.
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system (Beacon) and
ensure compliance with GDPR and funder quality standards.
o Collaborate with coordinators to facilitate participants' end-to-end journeys,
including onboarding, progress reviews, and transitions to post-course
opportunities.
Team Collaboration and Logistics:
o Work collaboratively with colleagues to manage daily tasks, ensuring smooth
operations, balanced workloads, and effective communication during
unforeseen changes.
o Contribute to team logistics, including resource preparation and
organisational tasks to support session delivery.

Must-Have Skills and Experience:
A positive, patient, and approachable demeanour, with the ability to build trust and
motivate others.
Strong interpersonal communication skills with participants, colleagues, and external
partners.
Confidence in planning and delivering engaging activities tailored to participant
needs. You'll need to be organised as your sessions include preparing and cooking
lunch, taking end of day reflections etc.
Proficiency in using IT tools, including Microsoft Office, and managing participant
data in a CRM system.
Commitment to safeguarding, with an understanding of maintaining professional
boundaries.
Nice-to-Have Skills and Experience:
Experience working with individuals with mental health challenges, neurodiversity,
or learning disabilities.
Familiarity with outdoor activities, such as conservation, woodland management, or
green woodworking.
Prior experience in participant support, coaching, or mentoring roles.

Travel
A full, clean driving license is essential, as travel is required to fulfil the role.
The standard Green Light Trust mileage rate will be payable for the business use of the post holder's private car.
DBS
Fully Enhanced DBS will be required in the event of a successful application, as you will be in contact with vulnerable adults and children.
